Professional Diploma in International Trade (Full Time)
  • This course is specially designed for students from overseas who wish to learn how international trade operates, and how increased exports can help to increase the prosperity of their own countries. The course will also outline clearly how imports and exports may be handled in a practical way. This course is also the first part in the two part series of courses leading to the International Diploma in International Trade and Maritime Studies.
  • Duration: 24 weeks (September - March)
  • Entry requirements: Students must have a good knowledge of the English Language (IELTS 4.5). No other formal qualifications are required
  • Assessment: The main method is by 3 or 4 Assignments per subject
  • Fees: £2075 excluding BTEC (Fees subject to change)
  • Progression route: Students on completion of this course can progress onto the Professional Certificate in Maritime Management. BTEC level 5.
Professional Certificate in Maritime Management  (Full Time)
  • The college has devised a shipping course which provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the maritime industry and its interface with associate industries particularly sea ports. The course fully takes account of new legislation and the changing pattern of maritime industry. This course is also the second part in the two part series of courses leading to the International Diploma in International Trade and Maritime Studies.
  • Duration: 12 weeks (September - December or April - July)
  • Entry requirements: Diploma in International Trade OR Mature students with relevant experience. OR A Degree in a relevant subject (Business Studies, International Trade, Law and Maritime Studies.) Other qualifications may be considered with relevant experience.
  • Assessment: Continuous assessment both written and oral
  • Fees: £1250 excluding any BTEC fees (Fees subject to change)
  • Progression route: Students from this course can progress onto (1) Institute of Chartered Ship brokers examinations (2) Bachelors degrees in Maritime Studies at various universities (3) Masters degree in Maritime Studies if they have a Bachelors degree
International Diploma in International Trade and Maritime Studies  (Full Time)
  • To meet the demands of the commercial world CCL has devised a series of courses to enable students to qualify in all aspects of International Trade, Exporting, Importing and Shipping. By combining these three areas of expertise a student can obtain the International Diploma in International Trade and Shipping. Moreover, students will obtain certification for each of the two courses taken (Professional Diploma in International Trade and Professional Diploma in Maritime Management). The objective of these courses is to enable students to become qualified in areas which will enable them to obtain employment in Export, Import and Shipping companies.
  • Duration: 36 weeks
  • Entry requirements: Students do not need formal qualifications provided that their written and spoken English are at least Upper Intermediate/ First Certificate Level. (IELTS 4.5)
  • Fees: This course is a combination of Certificate in International Trade, Professional Diploma in International Trade and Professional Certificate in Maritime Management and fees of individual programmes apply.
  • Progression route: Students from this course can progress onto (1) Institute of Chartered Ship brokers examinations (2) Bachelors degrees in Maritime Studies at various universities (3) Masters degree in Maritime Studies if they have a Bachelors degree
