Postgraduate Diploma in Shipping Management (PGDSM)
- This course is for students who seek a senior executive position in any area of the maritime industry, including port and shipping sectors or contemplate continuing on to the MBA (Maritime Management).
- Duration: One academic year (September to July or January to December )
5TODMFN445TODMFN44 - Entry requirements: Holders of the Diploma in Shipping Management of LIST at credit level, or, Holders of the Diploma in Transport Management at credit level, or, Membership of the Chartered Institute of Transport (students who have this qualification may have passed by examination, or by approved exemption), or, Higher National Diploma (BTEC) in an appropriate discipline, or, Graduates in appropriate disciplines (e.g. Commerce, Economics, Engineering Science, Geography) of approved universities, or, Mature candidates with relevant experience in an area of shipping may also be considered.
- Fees: 2 payments of £2,500 and £2,900 or 1 payment of £5,100
Diploma in Shipping Management (DSM)
- This course prepare students for middle to higher positions in management within the areas of shipping
- Duration: September start for April examinations or January start for June examinations
- Entry requirements: Three GCSE-S/GCE -O- levels and one -A- level or equivalent qualification, or, An approved Foundation Certificate. Relevant experience is taken into consideration for students 23 years of age and over who do not possess formal entry qualifications.
- Fees:1 payment of £2,800
Diploma in Transport Management (DTM)
- This program is designed for those candidates seeking their first post in the transport industry and seeing themselves ultimately obtaining a managerial position
- Duration: September start for April examinations or January start for June examinations
- Entry requirements: Higher Certificate in Shipping of LIST, or, Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Transport, or, Membership of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers or Membership of the Institute of the Motor Industry, or, National Diploma (BTEC) in an appropriate discipline, or, Qualifications equivalent to any of the above will also be considered
- Fees: 2 payments of £2,500 and £1,800 or 1 payment of £4,000
